This aerial photo shoot was to showcase the unprecedented event of wind turbine blades being delivered, unloaded and moved into place at the State Pier in New London, Connecticut that is supporting the new offshore wind industry off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard and Long Island, New York. Pre-planned coordination with the Air Traffic Control tower at the nearby airport had to occur since this area lies within a 0-Grid, no fly zone.
